Autograph

Skopje, 2009

The performance titled Autograph tackles the mystification which follows the artist as a kind of a pop star, yet it is at the same time a critical comment on the vulgarization of the artwork in circumstances of liberal capitalism where the signature of the artist is more important that the work itself. Practically, the signature, that is, the name of the artist, sells the artwork regardless of its qualities. The performance included an hour long writing of the artist's signature on pieces of paper which were afterwards sold at a symbolic price.
