Skopje, 2011
An artistic design of a digital print which undoubtedly points to similarities with the visual design of the Facebook logo, while at the same time, through the title it speaks of the obssesiveness and the addictiveness of the users of the social networks (on the level of sociological, social and cultural phenomenon). The emphasis is pointed towards the aspect of alienation which has never been so obvious as in the present informatic society of general simulacrum, especially pointing out the Facebook network which creates an illusion of social utopia where everyone can realize (at least virtually) a social interaction, speak her/his attitudes, share her/his wishes, impressions, aspirations – and all that from the conformity of her/his own chair. The idea of the artist is, this time, to tackle, through an inverse process, the relation between the virtual in the public, transposing the intention and the wish from the virtual space into their equivalents – intervention tactics and practices in the real surrounding.
In the second phase of the project, titled Possible City Project, the audience has the opportunity of a co-artistic collaboration through individual mapping, photographing, that is, “tagging” of architectural objects, locations or particular city vistas, by using the initial parameters assigned by the artist only as an associative basis for speaking one’s own attitude, through a process of intervening action, both in the city public space and in the virtual one.
The photographs from the posters placed at different locations were also posted on the following Facebook address: Possible City Project
